Wasabi Pastrami Sandwich

Instead of trying to unload your work stress with a mini Japanese garden on your desk, let’s use it as inspiration for lunch, Chef! Wasabi, also called Japanese horseradish, is going to add some spice kick to your lunch today. Simply combine with mayo for a creamy & warming smear on toast, topped with meaty pastrami, tangy tomato & fresh greens.

Wasabi Pastrami Sandwich

Ingredients:

  • Beef Pastrami
  • Green Leaves
  • Mayo
  • Rye Bread Slices
  • Tomato
  • Wasabi Powder

  1. TIME TO TOAST

    Toast the bread in a toaster. Alternatively, heat in a microwave until softened, 15 seconds. Allow to cool slightly before assembling. In a small bowl, combine the mayo and the wasabi powder (to taste).

  2. WASABI. PASTRAMI. UMAMI!

    Lay down one slice of toasted bread and smear with ½ the wasabi mayo. Top with the tomato slices, the rinsed leaves, and the pastrami. Smear the remaining mayo on the other slice of toasted bread and close up the sandwich before slicing through the middle. Dig in!

  • Mayo - 50ml

  • Wasabi Powder - 7,5ml

  • Tomato - 1

  • Green Leaves - 10g
