Stroganoff Sauce & Ostrich

This stroganoff dish will surprise you with its unexpected flavours. We’ve replaced the traditional beef with succulent ostrich goulash, served on toasted baguette slices and coated in a rich, creamy mushroom, garlic, & sour cream sauce. It’s a new take on a classic comfort food.

Argentinian-style Ostrich

Argentinians share South Africans’ love for high quality, well-cooked meat. We combine their culinary culture with a mouthwatering Mzansi favourite: free-range ostrich fillet! This will be spiced with NOMU Roast Rub and elevated with dollops of chimichurri, another Argentinian favourite. Served with oven-roasted aubergine wedges and a feta & sun-dried tomato salad.

Ostrich & Mushroom Marmalade

Perfectly tender ostrich slices are accompanied by a homemade mushroom, balsamic, and port marmalade. Served with fluffy jasmine rice and sided with a sun-dried tomato salad. Garnished with toasted almonds. Fancy, Chef!

Dried Fig, Zucchini & Ostrich Salad

The salad is the star of the show with this recipe, Chef! Sweet dried fig, pan-toasted baby marrow rounds (also known as zucchini), silky onion, fresh greens, toasted almonds & crumblings of feta are tossed with a sweet sherry vinegar dressing. The supporting act is seared ostrich for a complete and satisfying meal.

Spiced Bulgur Pilaf & Seared Ostrich

Called pilav or pilau as well, pilaf originated in Persia and is a wonderful way to infuse aromatics and spices into a grain dish. We’re achieving that with a special UCOOK spice mix, which is infused into bulgur wheat, silky onions & buttery carrots. Served with seared ostrich slices and a cooling cucumber-mint yoghurt.

Gochujang Ostrich & Soba Noodles

“Abundance” is the word that accurately describes this meal, which applies to both the portion and flavour, Chef! You won’t go hungry after savouring the silky soba noodles loaded with golden mushrooms, ostrich mince & pan-fried onion and spinach coated in an umami-rich Asian sauce. Garnished with fresh coriander.

Ostrich & Garlicky Green Beans

Orange & honey-glazed carrots and kale are scattered with crumblings of goat’s cheese. Completing the plate are the beautifully charred garlic green beans and slices of seared ostrich, spiced with NOMU One For All Rub.

Pesto Rice Salad & Ostrich Steak

Dinner is sorted! Basmati rice is loaded with juicy cucumber and diced tomatoes, then topped with Moroccan-flavoured ostrich steak slices. A generous dollop of creamy pesto completes this lip-smacking meal.

Chermoula Ostrich Mince & Aubergine

Perfectly oven-roasted aubergine halves form a savoury base and are topped with mouthwatering mince, enriched with chermoula & tomato paste. A dollop of chive-infused yoghurt adds a creamy finish. Plated with a side of chickpea salad and a sprinkle of chopped dates.
